A Double Dose of Disappointment: My EyeBuy Direct Nightmare 😡
I'm sharing this as a warning about my truly awful online shopping experience. I felt compelled to contact customer service after receiving not one, but two faulty products, hoping for a resolution. I’m afraid I don’t have many positive things to say about EyeBuy Direct. I ordered prescription glasses, progressive lenses with the blue light filter. The glasses received did not have the blue light filter. I contacted EyeBuy Direct and was sent replacement glasses. Not only did the replacements not have the blue light filter, clear vision through the glasses was only possible in the straight forward view. View to either side is distorted and blurry. While customer service tried to help, the quality just isn’t there. I will not be able to use either of the glasses shipped to me, I suppose you get what you pay for. This was the conversation that followed.
Customer: I'm calling about order #EBD12345. I just received the replacement pair, and they're just as bad as the first! Still no blue light filter, and the peripheral vision is unacceptably blurry.
CS Rep: I am so sorry to hear the replacement pair did not resolve the issue. It's completely understandable that you're frustrated, and I sincerely apologize for this repeated error. That is not the quality we promise.
Customer: I appreciate the apology, but what does that do for me? I now have two pairs of glasses that I can't wear. This has been a complete waste of my time and money.
CS Rep: You are absolutely right. Given that we have failed twice to get this correct for you, I would like to process a full refund immediately. You shouldn't have to pay for a product that is unusable.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
